Music in this episode is from Opsound.org, Magnatune.com, GarageBand.com and the Podsafe Music Network, and featured: Tigerheart/Cold Elf: "Medicated Shampoo" Thanks for listening.Verbal Kint: "The Mexican" Gringo Zero: "BBQ" Jeff Wahl: "Repetition" Monika Herzig: "One For The Box" Comments[14] |
I have listened to only two of your webcasts so far, the Premier Episode and your most recent, Stranger in Town. What a terrific webcast you have created. I feel as though I have found one of those rare gems that eludes most people. My plan is to get caught up and then continue the experience.
Thanks for the wonderfully unexpected pleasure of what you call The Membrane. I appreciate it.

Thanks very much for the kind words. It's a pleasure to put it together and know it's listened to by people who appreciate it. I'd love to hear what you think of the ones between #1 and #12. They certainly go from the sublime to the ridiculous but, as I said in the first episode, my first order of business is to have a good time. I'm glad you think it's a gem. I'll do my best to keep it polished without making it too slick.

I might want to use a couple of your New York photos in a television documentary - of the Lower East Side, from your Evaporation site. Could you let me know if this would be agreeable? I'd be happy to describe the project to you. Sorry to 'post' a comment for my own purposes, but I was linked here in my search. Best, Kristina Howard. P: 416.916.4286 x225 (Toronto)

Judging from how my life shakes out, I think I'm good for about twelve podcasts a year. I'd like to do better than that, but I'm trying to be realistic.
I miss it so much when I'm not doing it.
All the best to you and your remodeling endevors.

I saw you and Viv’ the other night at the Harry Potter screening and thought “Gee, by now I must have missed several pod casts. So a mere 45 hours later I got right to it and found out that I’m not that far behind at all.
As usual, you hit a topic we all ponder on occasion and through the theatre of the mind took me on an adventure into the unknown regions of our ancestor’s lives and the shadows of those lives carried in our DNA. Though you started with Andy Griffith you passed through at least the suburbs of the Twilight Zone (one of my personal favorites).
My dad hated his father so I never saw him or even a picture of him. He threw my dad out at twelve years old because he blamed my dad for his wife’s death (his reasoning is too ridicules to repeat). So the mystery I contemplate is, how did the son of a complete jerk turn into such a great father himself? I think he would call it the grace of God.
I do have pictures of my mother’s father who I did know as a child and remember him clearly though he died when I was about six years old. We even have a picture of his father which hung on a wall in our house for years. Some time ago while discussing the pictures of relatives with a visitor, said visitor noted that the picture of my great-grandfather looked remarkably like me. I even cut my beard the same. So I wonder what other traits we share.
Connie said that she liked your Hawaiian shirt. Perhaps because it looked like the one I was wearing. The one I got for father’s day from my mother-in-law.
I am looking forward to your next pod cast but don’t rush it. Keep it fun and the quality will stay high.
Thanks,
Ford
